Sofia is by the far the best language teacher I have ever had! She is patient, thorough and has the ability to provide learning blocks that help you learn complex structures without even realising you're doing it.
I have experienced Sofia's teaching in both a group setting (back in 2020) as well as 1:1 since 2021. Sofia excels in both environments, her lessons are always very well prepared, thought-through and most importantly fun!
I recently took the B1 exam and was blown away by Sofia's dedication to help set me up for success. I was struggling mostly on the listening part of the exam. Sofia went out of her way to record several mock exam scenarios to help provide me with even more preparation material. Additionally, Sofia corrected and provided valuable feedback on my writing skills on a regular basis over the course of 10 weeks.
I 100% would recommend Sofia to anyone considering learning Italian!

Sofia is an amazing teacher: passionate, attentive, always adjusting to your goals and strengths.
I started studying just to be able to speak and we were talking a lot, learning a big variety of set expressions. Later on my goal changed, as I decided to take an exam, and right away we started learning tiny, not obvious things, important to pass it.

It's my 3d attempt to learn Italian, and for the 1st time I'm enjoying so much and improving so fast, as Sofia always adapts the classes to activities I really enjoy.
Sofia has 2 Masters Degrees in teaching languages, so it's not just my perception. And she has a lovely personality.

Sofia was my Italian teacher when I first started learning in April 2021. An excellent and extremely patient person, she made my lessons enjoyable and memorable. She ensures that you understand before moving on.
Another great point is that she is willing to help you even outside of class hours. She was very accommodating to my needs and persistent questions. Sofia honestly treats you like a friend so you will never feel nervous to ask her anything! As such, I highly recommend her to anyone who is interested in trying out the language!

While I began wanting to learn Italian due to its cultural influence globally, Sofia however ensured that I will now entrench the Italian language not just in my heart, but also in the hearts of my future children and their descendants! For I too would want them to learn Italian!

Her classes are vibrant, and constantly promote interactivity between different students and their different respective cultures, all while using the Italian language as a communication medium to express ourselves. What struck me the most about Sofia’s classes was how every class session did not feel like class, but rather more like a social gathering between friends, disguised as a language class.

I was surprised at how engaging her classes were, and dreaded whenever each class session ended! (Even though the constant practice of the new Italian words learnt, could tire you out.) The best parts of the classes are usually when we are actually more immersed into learning Italian culture, rather than just merely learning the beautiful Italian language. And there are a variety of class sessions too; sometimes we will have games, other times we will watch videos, listen to Italian music, or even better, constantly snacking and drinking in class.

Sofia is fortunately very patient and somehow innovatively funny, and doesn’t shy away from explaining the finer and more intricate details of the Italian language to her best knowledge. And she does all of this, while consistently seeming to have the time of her life during lessons!
Overall, my experience with Sofia has made me increase my expectations of how a language teacher should teach! Not just for the Italian language, but also other foreign languages.
